September 10, 1813. Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry took nine ships onto Lake Erie and broke the British hold on the entire theater — the only time in U.S. Navy history a full British squadron surrendered outright. When his flagship Lawrence was shot to pieces under him, he rowed through cannon fire to a second ship under a flag stitched with a dying captain's last words: DON'T GIVE UP THE SHIP.  This tee puts you in that rowboat.
